Carpet Care TIps

Carpet CareIn several houses carpets serve as a valid part of interior design, so carpet care is a quite called-for subject. In several cases carpets are used for floor covering; while they are hotter, dressier and softer than other types of flooring, carpets need more difficult care. So, let us take a look at some helpful carpet care tips. Firstly, what carpet care needs to be applied relies on what type of carpet you have and the material it is made from. It is a fascinating fact that the natural material in the old carpets need a lot less care than the modern ones.

It's so because they were hand-crafted and tested, washed, dried and pre-shrunk in this process. Except for all kinds of carpets there's one major universal methodology of care : cleaning.

Although, as I have discussed, cleaning techniques also alter depending on the quality and material of the carpet you were given, no carpet can go on for years or maybe months without a good cleaning. Often when a carpet has no stains on it and its color looks bright, as though it were brand spanking new, one may think there is not any need for carpet washing or cleaning. It's a commonly made mistake. All kind of carpets accumulate certain measure of dust and moisture in them, which becomes a good dwelling place for bacteria and mould. These things can spoil your carpet from inside out as well as your healthfulness. So, a good cure particularly for natural fabric carpets, like wool, would be light dust beating given it every couple of months. It's best to take your carpet outside, turn it the other way around and gently beat on it.

Ground or snow is the best choice for such thrashing. Try avoiding hanging your carpet on a fence, because this way you overstretch and overstrain its grains of fabric and mess it up. If you are feeling like your carpet color is growing dim, but you can't give it such a carpet care as out of doors washing or cleaning, you can clean and revive its color right in your living room without any chemical detergents for it. Take some water, add salt and citric acid in it and clean your carpet with a brush. Only take care not to scrub it against its weave. Such easy cleaning will revive and make your carpet colours look brighter. An alternative way of cleaning your carpet inside is to apply tea leaves, which were used and brewed up many times ( 3 or four ).

Such tea leaf needs to be a little wet. If it has dried up, water it a bit and spread it around the whole carpet and leave it there for a bit. Then all you have to do is sweep it with a brush going from one carpet edge to the other. The wet tea leaf will sweep away almost all of the mud and dust, making your carpet color looking brighter.
Such straightforward but effective techniques of carpet care can save you much time and difficulty cleaning and sorting out your carpets and lengthen their sturdiness.
